the florida gang arrived yesterday and it was giggles and laughs at full force! Will kept peeking around the corner at the airport looking for them and as soon as they saw each other Aidan RAN over yelling "I'm in OHIO, Hiiiii!!!!" He gave us the BIGGEST hugs, they sang and were cracking each other up on the car ride home, and then he told his abuelita " I missed you, you are my Best Friend!" soo cute! back at the house we celebrated Abuelita's birthday (a few days late), but with the whole gang! it was lots of fun and laughs! this is going to be a great week!!!
last night the boys decided to clear out all the twigs, branches, and logs they could find in our yard. Will even joined in on the action searching out good twigs for the fire. at one point, i was afraid that one of our neighbors would call the fire department.... the branches were stacked about 2 feet OVER the firepit and about an extra foot overhang all around! cinders were flying up above our house... yikes! however, all ended well and it was a great evening!
THEN... this morning there was a WILD TURKEY scoping out our pond... guess he was a little early for Thanksgiving! creepy!
Our lil baby girl turned 2 today and it's hard to swallow the fact that she is now a full toddler. We had a very relaxed and easy going day that ended with a boom! it was so nice to have family over for dinner and cupcakes. Isa LOVED being the center of attention and Will was a great helper. Isa never stops doing new lil things that crack us up... we are so lucky to be able to share all her love and quirks with those we love. Happy Birthday Isabel! feliz cumpleanos!!!!
i must admit that I have been a little more worried about this pregnancy than in the past. over the last couple of days felt like i really needed some reassurance that Sharky was doing well... and today I got that! today I FINALLY saw my REAL OB and he was AWESOME. he sensed my nervousness and rushed out to get an ultrasound machine to ease my thoughts. i got another wonderful chance to see baby sharky in full motion... it's amazing how big s/he is already! baby had a strong heartbeat of 159, my blood pressure is still doing great, and I have only gained 2.5 pounds (which is great since I have some extra pounds to share with sharky =). all in all, i came out of the visit revived and relieved. what a wonderful miracle and blessing!
clearly Will leaves family members plenty of phone messages... today he picked up our home phone and said "mommy, i want to press "1" for more options".
i just love the silly things they say!
this picture says it all... Isa ran down the hall saying "Mommy, i wearing a pull-up!"
Congrats to Eddie and Nicole Suarez!!!! Our Florida family is growing! Sebastian Guy Suarez was born this morning weighing 7 lbs 4oz. We are SOOOO happy and excited for you and the family! We can't wait to meet the newest member!!!
fall is just around the corner and poor Will just went in for his first doctor appointment for a cough. we were fortunate to go a whole year asthma symptom free, but now we are back to the nebulizer treatments. he is back on a daily breathing treatment of Pulmicort (a steroid inhaler) to help control his breathing through the cold and flu season. all in all.. Will is a champ and never complains about doing the treatments or about his breathing. truly, I think this is more difficult for us than him =)
we had a great weekend despite some colds. Katie and Damian, along with Kateri and Paul were in town...always so much fun getting together. the kids were hilarious the entire time and didn't turn off the charm at all. Bapa's, Uncle Damian's, and Evan's at home "airplane" rides prepared Will and Isa for a day at the Cleveland Air Show. we had a great time at the air show and saw some amazing demos we hadn't seen before. here are a few pics of the fun time!
U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight (A-10, F-15, and P-51) :
The following pics are all of the A-10 Thunderbolt (known as the "Warthog") which is Tobin's favorite aircraft!
the kids having some fun of their own =) (except for the creepy guy watching them)
U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier Demo (this thing actually hovered, could maneuver backwards, and do vertical landings... but was REALLY loud!) :
after the show we met up with Uncle Mickey at the stables! we all had a great time!
We also wanted to wish Gramma & Bapa, Mom and Dad S an amazing 35th Anniversary. Glad we are close to share so many memories! we love you both!
9/3/09: went to see the doctor for a regular monthly appointment and it was great. baby "sharky" is doing just fine. the doctor was nice enough to do another in office ultrasound (with pictures this time) and it was so neat to see the baby being a lil squirmy wormy! It's amazing how beautifully formed babies are this early in a pregnancy. Baby's heartbeat was 146 (and I was Quickly reminded by the doc that it has NO bearing on the baby's sex) =). a little of our (OK MY) anxiety is lessened now (especially since we are past the first trimester). we are so excited and so in awe again with this lil miracle.
here are 2 of the baby's pics. First is the profile (head is on the left side... and you can see the baby's jawbones!) The second one is the baby laying on it's back with a view of it's face and left arm up on with lil fingers on the top of the image! enjoy!
the kids and I went to meet Tobin for lunch today at Squire's Castle. It's amazing how we went almost 1/2 way around the world for some beautiful scenes and sometimes forget the ones right around the corner. We all had a great time exploring and the kids loved running around!
(p.s.. Mom S, thanks again for lending us the laptop... we wouldn't be able to share these without it)
Yesterday was Will's first day. When we picked him up he was happy and excited that he is a schoolgoer. He said that he couldn't wait to go again. His teacher's comments were "Great morning. Very cooperative and willing to do all activities. He seemed very happy and talkative." We can't be happier.
Today Will was the star once more as he rode the BUS to school for the first time. Daddy, Mommy, Isa, Gramma, and even Mrs Fox (our neighbor) were all here to see him off. Waiting for his return from school, Mommy, Isa, Gramma, Ms. Julie, and Sammy were all outside. Will so so excited to see us all and couldn't get off the bus fast enough. Isa gave him a BIG hug when he left AND when he got home. We are thrilled that he is adjusting so well and hope that his enthusiasm for school coninues!
waiting for his bus!
Will getting off the bus. He is surprised to see everyone waiting!
Julie and Sam came over to visit while Will was at school. Since coming back from Hungary I have missed some of the great cooking... so we took the opportunity to make some Hungarian Palacintas (crepes) to celebrate Julie's birthday! What a fun day!
(8/18/09) After a wonderful morning out, we reunited with family to celebrate Nagymama's Name Day. This is a celebration similar to a brithday, but actually more celebrated that their actual brithday. It was a wonderful but sad evening. The kids enjoyed all the new gifts they recieved and we all loved the final night of amazing food. Food, cake, a little liquor and tons of fun came to an end with plenty of Thank You's for all the hospitality and love we experienced. Until next time... thanks for an AMAZING visit.
Nora, Janos and baby Dora Family group pic Nagymama LOVED watching Will eat his slice of cake! ready to go home...
