Little Get-Away!

During our vacation Tobin and I were blessed to get away for a 2 days on our own down in the Keys.  We booked a room at the Sheraton in Key West and took the scenic drive down!  Abuelita took care of the kids the first day while Aidan and Andrew were at school, and then Monika and the boys stayed home on Tuesday and took a bunch of outings together.  We felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands!
To start off, Tobin and I just relaxed and decided to have fun.  We booked a snorkeling and sunset boat trip.  We went on Fury Adventure's Double Dip trip.  We sailed 7 miles south of Key West, snorkeled for 45 minutes, then sailed out to another location and snorkeled there for about 30 minutes.  We saw so many cool fish and even encountered a huge nurse shark and Tob swam within a few feet of a barracuda! We finally got back on board where we were served drinks and got to enjoy the fantastic Key West sunset from the boat! Amazing!
On Tuesday, we slept in, enjoyed a complimentary breakfast, and booked a para-sailing trip!  We rented some scooters (Tob's motorcycle trial) and set out to explore the island.  We rode around to the Southernmost point of the U.S., rode up Whitehead street with many historical sites (we toured the Audubon House), and ended up on Duval Street with all it's stores and restaurants.  After stopping at a local restaurant for lunch, we headed to the Marina for our trip!  Tob and I went on a tandem para-sail up 300 feet over the Key West water.  It was exhilarating! What a wonderful time together!
