Mrs Fox turns 80!

Our previous neighbor on Barton Rd turned 80 this week.  She has been like family to us since we moved to Ohio.  She has been there for so many of the kids big milestones from bringing them home, to first bus rides to school.  We celebrated with her at Miller's Nature Preserve in Avon.  We felt blessed to be included in her celebration of life!

Sunny Day, Sweepin' the clouds away

They say April showers bring May flowers... and that sure is true for us in Northern Ohio.  We have gone from 30+ degree days to basking in the sun over the past week in the low to mid 70's!  Let's just say we have been out enjoying it!  Everything is blooming, the flowers, the trees, and our spirits!
Last weekend we did a little landscaping, set up the patio, and got the bike out for our first family ride of the season.  This time of year is amazing with all the new growth and blossoms flourishing everywhere you look.  Despite a little scare that our tulips had fallen prey to the local deer, we managed to save about half and are loving the view.  Many of the new perennials we planted last year are surfacing, and it's a beautiful sight!
We are truly loving these gorgeous days!

back in Ohio

Since we have been back, we have been blessed with beautiful days and fun with family and friends.  Kids are back into the swing of things and with less than 2 months left before summer break, we are ready for the sunshine!  Since we missed Mira and Finlay in Florida we were able to spend a little time with them here. =)

The kids have been having a blast being back with friends!  It's so nice to have a large group of friends that are like family to us!

On April 11th, Gabi went back to the surgery center to have her THIRD set of tubes put in her ears and also got her adenoids removed.  Our little girl is such a little trooper.  She was sure hurting and sad all afternoon, but after 4pm that same day.... she was back to her happy, go lucky self, and she hasn't complained since then.
Here are pics of 3 years of surgeries for our little babycakes....

This past weekend, the kids and I decided to go see The Little Mermaid Jr.  Tobin was doing a lot of work catching up on reviews so the kids and I gave him some time on his own and enjoyed the show!

Final Days (Orlando)

We arrived to Orlando to Uncle Justin and Aunt Mary's home on Thursday of our trip and found a wonderful welcome sign!  The kids immediately wanted to jump into the pool despite it being a little bit chilly.  Our whole family jumped in.  Uncle Justy joined us for dinner and fun later that night.
On Friday, our family took the plunge and got tickets to Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure.  There are several different themed lands including Dr. Seuss Land, Harry Potter Land, Jurassic Park Land, and Marvel Comic Land!  The kids loved all the adventures in Jurassic Park!  Tob and Will went off exploring and rode the 4D Spiderman ride on their own, while the girls and I stayed in Dr Seuss Land!  We stayed out late and enjoyed the theme park until it closed at 10.  So much fun!
Uncle Justin jumped on our bandwagon and made the drive back to Ohio on Saturday to reunite with his family.  We made the trip back from Orlando in about 17.5 hours!
warm welcome!

Final Days in South Florida

We spent our final days relaxing and swimming!  While Tobin did some work, the kids, Abuelita and I headed to Tia Becky's and Tio Miguel's house for a little pool action!  We swam some more near Monika's house when the boys were done with school.  The adults had a night out at Ceviche 105, a Peruvian restaurant, and on our final night we had a wonderful Nicaraguan dinner at Los Ranchos!
The kids have been having a hard time adjusting and being back home without their cousins.  I can't count how many times I hear about how much they are missed and how they wish they lived in Ohio.  The funniest, was when they said... "it's just not fair!"  =)  Thanks for so many happy memories Abuelita and Lacayos!
