Canada vacation Part1

After a busy week of vacation bible school and prepping for vacation in between... we finally all got in the car around 3:30am on Saturday morning and began our Canadian adventure!
Day1: Saturday.  We traveled through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and finally entered Canada (north of Syracuse) around noon on Saturday.  Our first pit stop was in Montreal to pick up Gramma from her flight in.  After a little stretch of our legs, and some food in our belly we continued on the last 1.5 hour trek slightly north of Mont Tremblant to our Chalet at Blueberry Lake Resort.  We checked in and arrived around 5pm (Long Day!).
We were immediately blown away.  The scenery is beautiful, our chalet is spacious, and activities bountiful!  We got unloaded and took a little hike around the area to check everything out.  The kids even took a little dip in the pool (with their day clothes on!).  Then off to bed we went!  Bapa and Jen arrived in a separate car at almost 2am.
Day 2:  Sunday.  Unfortunately today was a little rainy and overcast.  However the morning was nice and the kids enjoyed picking wildflowers and hanging out outdoors.  We entertained ourselves indoors today playing pool, drawing, taking needed naps, and ending the day with a family movie night (We Bought A Zoo)!
Day 3:  Monday.  Amazing, Awesome, Wonderful, Fantastic day!  Today was beautiful! We also spotted a Golden Eagle! The weather started off a little chilly, but despite that, the kids still went out to the heated pool, played in the playground, and then headed back to the chalet for a little adventure.
We headed off with our swimsuits packed and our fishing poles.  Between fishing, canoeing in the lake, kayaking, swimming in the lake... and jumping on the trampoline in the middle of the lake, we had a perfect afternoon!  It was in the low 70's today, but in the full sun, it was gorgeous.
Oh... it was awesome swimming in the lake.  To me, it immediately brought back childhood memories of when my sis and I used to spend our summers with our grandparents on Greenwood Lake.  A nostalgic day!
When we got back, we relaxed, played some more pool, took a dip in the the hot tub, and sat around the fire at day's end.  p e r f e c t.
