TWO

T W O.  inconceivable to us.  It honestly feels like just yesterday all the 2010 babies were being born... their 1st birthdays came and went, and here we are celebrating number 2.  We were not ready.  Yesterday Gabi officially turned 2 years old.  That is a Big Deal.  She is a big girl now.  She now requires and airline ticket, she now pays admission to most places, and she can officially start her "terrible two's" (although we wouldn't mind a bit if she bypasses that one!).
Even though she is still our "baby girl", Gabi really has past the baby stages.  At 2 she is constantly doing everything her older siblings are doing.  You can't leave her out.
As of today... here is our little girl at a glance.... she squints her eyes when she smiles (adorable).  She loves her brother and sister.  She loves singing and dancing (our evening and random dance parties may have influenced this).  She loves the Bubble Guppies show (hence her 2nd birthday theme).  She has started The Little Gym and loves it.  She is real sweet with her hugs and normally is not in a hurry to rush away from you!  She is starting to enjoy pretend dress up time more.  She loves all her play food.
What she does: she knows most of her body parts to include her eyes, ear, nose, mouth, head, hands, arm, elbow, tummy, knees, toes, and feet (or feetsies as we call them).  She can easily count to 13 or 14.  Sings her entire ABC's song.  She still loves the same songs and has added Head Shoulders Knees and Toes to the list.  She has started to color a little better and doesn't give up as quickly.  She is very coordinated and can do a forward roll, balance beam, and hang on the bars by herself (along with climbing almost anything there is).  She is speaking more clearly every day.  Our favorite things to hear from her are "hold me", "give me your hand", "where (fill in the name) go?", how she Almost ALWAYS says "Thank you Mommy" (or whomever) whenever given something or helped without being prompted.  We love how she blows "besitos" (kisses) to people and waves goodbye to them.
This age is so fun because the kids all seem to be able to play together.  A heartwarming feeling.  Gabi is still real easy going... although she has started showing a little more aggression with others (something we hope to get a handle on).  We love hearing her laugh, and love the excitement she shows when people come to visit.  She is really a happy go lucky little girl that we feel so blessed to love!  Happy Birthday Gabi Rose!

official stats:  Gabi is meeting all her milestones and the one issues we are having is her ears.  She goes back on Thursday morning for surgery to get her tubes replaced. =(.  She is a whopping 25 pounds and is 33.5 inches long.  25th percentile for both!

a glimpse of her birthday day....
