lil miracle

Our lil boy is 3 years old today! We absolutely can't believe how fast the time has flown, but we cherished every minute of it. We affectionately have called Will our lil miracle from the moment we found out we were expecting. He truly defied the odds and made us the happiest parents around. We are so proud of him and are so excited to continue to watch him grow.
Happy 3rd Birthday William!

father's day

we hope that every father out there had a wonderful and blessed father's day. we had an fantastic relaxing weekend.
since there were so many pictures... we thought it better to show you our fun weekend....

little singer

heartwarming.... tonight while our iTunes was randomly playing music, I walked by our office and caught Will sitting by the computer trying to sing along to Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up". I walked in, with a big smile on my face, when Will looked up at me and asked to watch the "video" for this song (side note... he has never seen our wedding video). This moment was one I will never forget.

train day 6.20.09

On Saturday morning we started off Father's day weekend with a trip to the Cleveland Metroparks Train Day. Needless to say, Will was in heaven! Isa really enjoyed all the trains as well and even started her little "chugga chugga choo choo" song while we were on the "hobo's trail." They had several displays of model trains, train movies (we happened to walk by while they were showing a Thomas one, so we stopped in for a quick viewing), train crafts for the kids, and a nice walk on the previously mentioned "Hobo's Trail". It really was a fun and relaxing morning. We ended our trip with a ride on a small "train" before heading home for naps and family time =)

fresh air camp

For the last several years Mom Sikora has been volunteering at this camp for kids that are ventilator dependent. The camp hosts a myriad of wonderful events that otherwise these children would not be able to experience. The kids and I were blessed yesterday to visit the camp (and get their Gramma/Bapa fill) and experience firsthand how great this camp is. I was touched to see the kid's Uncle Tim working with his partner. This boy had a partial stroke and Tim was talking, massaging and making sure his partner was always comfortable. Uncle Eddie seemed in high sprirts as well working with his partner (although we could see how he lit up when Isa and Will walked in!). I am so glad that the kids went, and although they are still very young, I hope they follow in both our families footsteps of volunteering those that are less fortunate than us.

This is as close as they got to the Disney Characters!

Watching the animal show and getting to pet some them!

A TON of firefighters and engines showed up for an amazing display. Will got to "put out" a mock burning building and Isa sat in the driver's seat of an engine! It was way too cool!!!

joining the bandwagon

Yep... we did it (or shall I say, I, Veronika, with the blessings of my hubby), have joined the Blogging revolution! There are many times that I feel that I have SO much to say and share... and most that know me can attest to my non-stop talking, so... I figured this is a great outlet for everyone to know what is going on in our lives (without forcing anyone to listen to me =). Mostly it will be about all the wonderful moments the kids experience, and how those moments touch us and keep us smiling as parents. William and Isabel are truly our personal little Everyday Miracles. With each hug, smile, dance, song, or word, our lives as a family becomes more blessed.

So, if you are reading this... WELCOME!!! And so begins my story with pictures ....
love, V (and family)
