Fall Time and Tiny Dancers

These past months have been filled with fun times with family and friends.  The kids have now all had their Pride Day ceremonies at both schools, and Isa was honored to get the 1st month's award for her class!  She was so excited. Here they are showing off their school spirit with the Millers.

 We also met up with Kateri, Chloe and Lincoln while at a playground with the Mikes family, and had a great time at the Westlake rec!

 Also, the girls have started ballet and tap classes at the YMCA.  They are there on different days, but we are already looking forward to the their Christmas recital on the 15th of December! (warning... you may not be able to tell which is which =).

Special Field Trip with my lil lady!

Today I had a chance to take Gabi on her first school field trip.  I've done this one over the years with Will and Isa, but this was Gabi's first time!  She had a blast with several of her friends, Kyle and Andrew.  We went out to Miller's Apple Orchard in Amherst.  Gabi picked her apples, chomped an apple down, and headed back to their play area!  It was so nice to have have this one on one with her!

Fun Fall Day

Today we had a great day as a family.  Daddy took Gabi out to French Creek Reservation while Will and Isa went to Brick for Kids for Carter's birthday party.  We then all met up at the park's playground for some fun in the amazing sun and beautiful weather!  We played tag, basked in the sun, and ended the afternoon with a nice lunch/dinner.  Back at home we did some painting and played some more outside.  It truly was a wonderful day!

Girl's conference

Tonight, we attended conferences for our girls at Village.   First of all, Gabi is doing well and adjusting to school routines.  It's so interesting to see how her personality comes through in a different environment without her siblings.  At first, she had a hard time sharing (she is use to fighting for her toys), but has done real well at school.  She seems to gravitate to playing with the toy horses and playing house during free time.  Even though she prefers to play on her own, she is getting better at playing with her classmates. She is on track with most of her initial learning skills, and we are already seeing much improvement in her coloring and writing skills!  We think she will be a lefty for sure, but we guess there is still time to see.
Isa, ahh, Isa.  Isa had a rough time adjusting to the a full day schedule the first week of school, but has come completely around.  We couldn't be more proud of her.  Her teacher honestly looked at the clock the moment we walked in and said "15 minutes isn't enough time for me to talk about Isa."  We were gleaming.  It's so refreshing and heartwarming to know that she is an exemplary student in class.  Isa's report indicated that she had mastered all subjects they were currently working on, and scored 100% on all the material her teacher tested her on for the conference!  Keep it up baby girl!  A little over a week ago (the day after her birthday) we received this unexpected e-mail from her teacher:  "Isa is such a gift.  She is so loving and such a wonderful peer model at school.  I am so glad she is in my class this year!"  We are thrilled and hope this continues for her.  She makes us proud.

What a year! Thankful for so many blessings this year for our little Isa Faith!

Faithy Paithy is SIX

Our Isie Pisie, Faithy Paithy, Isa Faith is SIX today!  She is maturity in a pint sized body.  She is loving, helpful, passionate and nurturing.  She is also spirited, stubborn and temperamental.  However, the good moments definitely outway the bad and she is a wonderfully kind girl 99.9% of the time.  We wouldn't have it any other way.  

Isa can make a friend in a hallway, train or bathroom!  This new school year is certainly an example of this.  She went into a class not knowing any of her classmates and now has a circle of friends that bring sunshine to our lives.  The giggles and happiness when they are together is contagious!  She is a great team player and loves to be surrounded by happiness.  

Isa still loves art and creativity!  We typically find Isa in two places: at the table coloring or crafting, or outside on the monkey bars.  She loves being outdoors.  To say that we feel blessed in calling her daughter is an understatement.  She continually makes us proud.  She is excelling in Dance, Gymnastics, and Academics.  Her teacher can't stop raving about her.  We love watching her grow into a beautiful and smart young lady.  Don't let her size fool you, the moment you speak to her, you can hear knowledge beyond her years.  Her artistic abilities are also really taking off.  Her portraits and drawings are amazing.  She is amazing.  

It's been a wonderful six years with her, and we can't wait to share and enjoy so many more with her. Happy Birthday Isa Faith!  

School Days for Isa

Isa has started off the school year with a bang.  She is adjusting well and has made a great group of friends.  She loves her teacher and class and now looks forward to going to school every day.
Mom has been lucky to help out in Isa's computer lab and accompany the class on their 1st field trip to Gedes Fruit Farm.
Isa also participated in a mini-cheer camp.  After 3 practices she performed during the 1st quarter of the Avon/Midview Football game. Fun times!
