Faithy Paithy is SIX

Our Isie Pisie, Faithy Paithy, Isa Faith is SIX today!  She is maturity in a pint sized body.  She is loving, helpful, passionate and nurturing.  She is also spirited, stubborn and temperamental.  However, the good moments definitely outway the bad and she is a wonderfully kind girl 99.9% of the time.  We wouldn't have it any other way.
Isa can make a friend in a hallway, train or bathroom!  This new school year is certainly an example of this.  She went into a class not knowing any of her classmates and now has a circle of friends that bring sunshine to our lives.  The giggles and happiness when they are together is contagious!  She is a great team player and loves to be surrounded by happiness.
Isa still loves art and creativity!  We typically find Isa in two places: at the table coloring or crafting, or outside on the monkey bars.  She loves being outdoors.  To say that we feel blessed in calling her daughter is an understatement.  She continually makes us proud.  She is excelling in Dance, Gymnastics, and Academics.  Her teacher can't stop raving about her.  We love watching her grow into a beautiful and smart young lady.  Don't let her size fool you, the moment you speak to her, you can hear knowledge beyond her years.  Her artistic abilities are also really taking off.  Her portraits and drawings are amazing.  She is amazing.
It's been a wonderful six years with her, and we can't wait to share and enjoy so many more with her. Happy Birthday Isa Faith!

School Days for Isa

Isa has started off the school year with a bang.  She is adjusting well and has made a great group of friends.  She loves her teacher and class and now looks forward to going to school every day.
Mom has been lucky to help out in Isa's computer lab and accompany the class on their 1st field trip to Gedes Fruit Farm.
Isa also participated in a mini-cheer camp.  After 3 practices she performed during the 1st quarter of the Avon/Midview Football game. Fun times!

Gabi Rose starts SCHOOL!

Our baby girl, our little Gabi Rose started school for the very first time today!  As our youngest started in the school world our hearts ached just a little that we no longer have any babies or toddlers at home. However, we are so excited for Gabi.  She has been asking to go to school for over a year now and was extremely giddy and happy to go today!  She told everyone we ran across today, that "I'm a pre-schooler", "I have pre-school today".  Her enthusiasm was beyond words.
Gabi had a great 1st day touring her building, getting familiar with her class routine, and finally getting to see Isa at the end of the day while they waited together to get picked up.  It's adorable listening to her talk and the way she throws her hands up in the air with excitement while answering questions is cutest thing ever.  She goes to Avon Village Monday through Thursday during their PM session (1-3:30pm).  Her teacher is Miss Kristen Case and she's in room 205.
For mom it's difficult to think that for a couple of hours 4 days a week, the house will be empty... quiet. It's with a sense of nostalgia and happiness that we send our baby off to pre-school.

On August 27th, Gabi attended the school's Open House.  She had an opportunity to meet her teacher and get familiar with her classroom.  She was the last one to leave because she was so excited to be there!

First day of KINDERGARTEN!!! - Isa

This is Isa's 3rd year at Avon Village, but her first time being there all day.  She is a full day Kindergatener this year!  Her bus arrives (or should arrive) at 8:19am and she is done at 3:30pm.  She has Mrs Linda Jaros as her teacher this year and gets to pack a lunch for school!  So far she has been doing great (only a few tears when she has seem Mommy at school helping out).  It's a long hot day for the Kindergarteners.  Summer finally arrived here again this week just as the kids are back at school... where are those nice 70 degree days???
Despite the heat, all the kids, including Isa, are adjusting well.  Mommy is lucky enough to be the Kindergarten representative for the PTA this year, so it has been nice seeing all the kids learn their school routines!
Isa goes to school with 2 other neighborhood friends and has already started making new friends from her class!  It's been quite an adjustment for Mommy and Gabi having both Will and Isa at school all day.  We couldn't be any prouder of Isa.  Her excitement is contagious and our morning routines seem to be filled with smiles!
Last week on Thursday (Aug 22nd), Isa went to school for her Kindergarten assessment.  She was able to meet her teach and tour the classroom.  Isa is in a very hot 3rd floor room.. so you may see her in tank tops year round!

bff's have been pretty inseparable the 1st days of school!

First Days of School - Will

Our Will is entering 1st grade and this is a big year of change!  Thankfully our kids' school start dates have all been staggered (Will- Aug. 22nd, Isa- Aug. 26th, Gabi- Sept. 3rd).  Will started 1st grade in a new building, Avon East.  His teacher this year is Mrs Katie Kneisel.  Needless to say, Will has been a little apprehensive about the start of this school year.  After 3 years at Avon Village Elementary, moving to a new school, riding the bus again, and having an early start time has caused some anxiety.  However, we were blessed to find out that Will and his buddy Luke would be in the same class.  Even better news, Luke as been allowed to ride the bus, and he, Evan and Will are at the corner by 7:28am waiting for bus #36.
We know each day will be a little easier!  Upon arrival of his first day home we asked him how it was, his response "good, but not that good."  By that evening, he was telling us all about his new routine and what he did that day.  We also received a note from the teacher saying he did extremely well.  What a relief!
So, on August 22nd, our little 7 year old started 1st grade, and another cool adventure!

The first 2 days our families joined to welcome the 1st graders home!  Oh what fun!
