First day of KINDERGARTEN!!! - Isa

This is Isa's 3rd year at Avon Village, but her first time being there all day.  She is a full day Kindergatener this year!  Her bus arrives (or should arrive) at 8:19am and she is done at 3:30pm.  She has Mrs Linda Jaros as her teacher this year and gets to pack a lunch for school!  So far she has been doing great (only a few tears when she has seem Mommy at school helping out).  It's a long hot day for the Kindergarteners.  Summer finally arrived here again this week just as the kids are back at school... where are those nice 70 degree days???
Despite the heat, all the kids, including Isa, are adjusting well.  Mommy is lucky enough to be the Kindergarten representative for the PTA this year, so it has been nice seeing all the kids learn their school routines!
Isa goes to school with 2 other neighborhood friends and has already started making new friends from her class!  It's been quite an adjustment for Mommy and Gabi having both Will and Isa at school all day.  We couldn't be any prouder of Isa.  Her excitement is contagious and our morning routines seem to be filled with smiles!
Last week on Thursday (Aug 22nd), Isa went to school for her Kindergarten assessment.  She was able to meet her teach and tour the classroom.  Isa is in a very hot 3rd floor room.. so you may see her in tank tops year round!

bff's have been pretty inseparable the 1st days of school!

First Days of School - Will

Our Will is entering 1st grade and this is a big year of change!  Thankfully our kids' school start dates have all been staggered (Will- Aug. 22nd, Isa- Aug. 26th, Gabi- Sept. 3rd).  Will started 1st grade in a new building, Avon East.  His teacher this year is Mrs Katie Kneisel.  Needless to say, Will has been a little apprehensive about the start of this school year.  After 3 years at Avon Village Elementary, moving to a new school, riding the bus again, and having an early start time has caused some anxiety.  However, we were blessed to find out that Will and his buddy Luke would be in the same class.  Even better news, Luke as been allowed to ride the bus, and he, Evan and Will are at the corner by 7:28am waiting for bus #36.
We know each day will be a little easier!  Upon arrival of his first day home we asked him how it was, his response "good, but not that good."  By that evening, he was telling us all about his new routine and what he did that day.  We also received a note from the teacher saying he did extremely well.  What a relief!
So, on August 22nd, our little 7 year old started 1st grade, and another cool adventure!

his face made my heart sink.
The first 2 days our families joined to welcome the 1st graders home!  Oh what fun!
