January shinanigans

This sure has been a COLD month for us.  Some days too bitter to play out in the snow, others, just right.  The kids have had their share of fun this month despite the cold.
During the month, we gathered friends to cure some cabin fever by bowling.  The Kitchen family, Shammots and Millers joined us.
The kids and I also had some fun ice skating with Isa's girl scout troop.  The kids are getting better and better on the ice with each excursion.
We also celebrated Evan's 8th birthday at the Roll Arena this month.  The kids had a blast skating around.
The end of the month was wrapped up with some crafting and creative play by the girls, a sleepover with the Miller boys, and a Big Girl room for Gabi Rose!

This event was highly anticipated by me (Veronika)!  The pre-sale tickets went on sale over 6 months ago and I was anxious to go!  Gramma Wendy decided to give her little granddaughters the gift of time for Christmas and this show was their treat!  Along with the cousins, Kateri, Heather and I  went.  We also had the girl's friends Claire and Ruby come with us.
The show was a fun treat for all of us.  Afterwards we enjoyed some Chick-fil-A to fill our bellies!

The girls also enjoyed a special evening with Annie and Millie.  They donned their matching jammies for a fun sleepover!

Happy New Year! 2015

 We celebrated the end of 2014 with the Shammots and the Cecils.  Unfortunately most everyone was exhausted and didn't make it to midnight.  Veronika and Will were the only ones in the house to ring in the new year.
We had a lovely evening.  We ordered Ninos (delicious Italian food) and played some games.  The kids got silly in their New Years disguises and were a hoot to watch!

Today was a gorgeous day to be outside.  We took advantage and got our garden all ready for the summer.  After Tob got it all tilled, the kids and I set out and planted a variety of fruits and veggies.  We can't wait to see what works and is tasty... and what we won't do next year.

 

Tob's 37th (again)

Tob spent the last year thinking he was already 37... so here we go again... Happy 37th Birthday!  Here's to another year young!
The kids and I surprised Tob with breakfast, cards, and some special gifts!  He got an updated coffee mug with the kids pictures on it (Gabi is now on it!).  We also got him a new jacket for his motorcycle. Everything was a hit!  Since Monday's are chaotic, we celebrated his birthday the Saturday before.  On Monday we went out to dinner with Mom, Dad, the Shammot's and kids for a great dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Thankfully we survived the tornado warnings and made it home before the flash flooding!
